Show lasers are coming back in fashion again because of their rich colors. But just having a couple of light beams move aimlessly won't do. At beatline we believe that light is just as expressive as music. Afterall both are waves. With music you hear different tones, with lasers you see different colors.

Not all notes go well together to form a chord and neither do all color combinations look appealing. Once we understood we can play light chords with our laser we wanted it to join with music.

Strangely enough, Show laser software is still stuck in the nineties. Painstaking placement of beam animations on a time-line divided in seconds and milliseconds. That won't do. Musical timing was solved centuries ago we decided to start use musical knowledge about measures, beats and rythm patterns and apply that to geometry animations and color animations so that then light plays perfectly in sync with the music.

Prices of laser diodes have plumeted in recent years and so have the prices for computer hardware. Beatline wants to be on the forefront of brand new show laser devices that go far beyond the old X,Y galvo mirros. We constantly push the boundaries and often apply these ideas in our Laser Shows to test them out.

Custom laser shows are much cheaper to produce with our tools, but also live shows are easier and better. Just like quantizing exists for MIDI music.
